Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, an annual event hosted by The Mental Health Foundation, giving the whole of the UK the opportunity to focus on achieving good mental health. The theme for this year is nature, calling for as many people as possible to think about connecting with nature and how it can improve our mental health. Whether that’s enjoying a long walk out in the countryside, pottering around in our gardens, or simply tending to a house plant.
The nature theme can of course be very easily expanded to include the myriad of natural nutrients, herbs, and plants that are used in health and wellness products, which can play a supporting role in mental health and help to relieve symptoms such as lack of sleep, stress, and anxiety. To mention just a few, there are herbs such as chamomile, lavender, and passionflower, adaptogens like ashwagandha and rhodiola, and not forgetting CBD and turmeric too.
